How to get to the hotel

By Plane: Directly to Drake Bay with Sansa Airline, www.flysansa.com .  From Drake Bay Airport you can take a taxi (20 min) into town.  Sansa flies from the regional terminal near the international flights at the Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose.

By Car/Boat: Drive to the town of Sierpe (its best to arrive at least 30 minutes early) and park in one of the fenced pay parking areas and take a cooperative boat (11:30 am, 3:30 pm) to Drake Bay.  There is a charge of up to $25 per person for the cooperative boat.  Private boats can be arranged but are much more expensive.

Driving to Drake Bay:  Take the Costanerra (highway 27) to the Interamericana Sur ( highway 34) south and turn off in Chacarita driving towards Puerto Jimenez.  Follow the road to the town of Rincon where you will see a sign for the turnoff to Drake Bay.  From here follow the main road through Rancho Quemado and then Progresso to Drake Bay.

*****This option should be done with a 4x4 auto.  This road is much improved and there are no longer river crossings with bridges having been installed over all major passes.  A 4x4 is recommended as it is still a dirt road with many holes, rocky areas, and can be slippery during big rains.

****** Unless prearranged, please plan to arrive at the hotel NO LATER than 5pm.  The road to the hotel is much harder to follow in the dark and we do not have extra personnel on hand to help with bags after this time.

By Public Bus/Boat: 1) Take the Tracopa Bus www.tracopacr.com to Palmar Norte then by taxi to Sierpe, then boat to Drake Bay.  2)Take Tracopa bus all the way to Sierpe then boat to Drake Bay

By Private Shuttle:  For information contact Easy Ride  www.easyridecostarica.com
